My style is an integrated use of the training I have had in various therapeutic approaches. These include mindfulness-based therapies, such as acceptance and commitment therapy and dialectical behaviour therapy, as well as more traditional cognitive behavioural therapies. I also have expertise in connecting clients with other resources in the community, and I view this type of assistance as integral to therapeutic work.
I would be delighted to meet your partner, parent, child, or other important person in your life if this will add to our work in therapy. I am not experienced in offering services to individuals under the age of 10, but I would be pleased to connect you with resources for younger children if this is relevant to your situation.
I look forward to working with you and your family with any of the following issues:
- – sexual behaviour (paraphilias)
- – trauma and grief
- – pornography addiction
- – anger management
- – alcohol or drug addiction
- – anxiety and depression
- – workplace stress
- – intimate partner violence
- – relationship issues
You can self-refer or you can be referred by another health care professional or your lawyer. If you have been charged with a criminal offense, I would be pleased to prepare an assessment report, or work with you as you cope with the stress of your situation, connect with other appropriate resources, and/or address offending-specific behaviour. If your loved one has been charged with a criminal offense, I can work with you on coping with the stress that this kind of situation has created for you.
